A fascinating book: "Nonzero"

Just bought Nonzero, it seems very interesting.

"Has life a direction? Is life and human evolution a non-zero-sum or a zero-sum game?"

My answer is intuitively yes, life has a direction, and it's not because I feel religious. It's because I have a sense that human life is becoming esponentially more complex, people more and more interdependent, technological and medicine discoveries more and more astonishing.

But I do recognize that these concepts are very vague ...
