Are the strange French politicians becoming less strange?
From today´s FT. A long but very thoughtful article on France political scenario
How globalisation is shifting France’s political fault
"The French right, which has always been exotically odd by European standards, is becoming more conventional. On the other hand, the French left, which for so long defined the European socialist mainstream, is now veering towards national exceptionalism."
Strange, I never thought to start supporting liberalism, but when you pay more than 50% of what you gain in taxes, Cindia is growing at a 10% yearly rate while Europe is growing at 2%, and French students want a job for life ... well, something starts sounding very wrong here in fortress Europe.
